Evergreen Elementary School is surrounded by the beauty of Southeast Alaska on Wrangell Island. We have 166 students with an average class size of 17-22. Our students are encouraged to “excel to their potential” on a daily basis through academic and recreational pursuits.

There are several events throughout the year that encourage students to challenge themselves in an enjoyable manner, such as the Hooligan Reading Race, Sea Day, and the Scholastic Book Fair. All daily activities and special events at the school are successful because of staff, family and community volunteers that support each child in our community.
